Blue Mountain- Meet at Mountain Trips
During Jan and February many club members went to Blue Mountain, Bear Creek, Jack Frost for Meet-at-the Mountain Ski Trips. Organized via an email list we skied many days as a group at these local ski areas. Here's a photo from the last Monday skiing for the season.

January Elk/ Montage Mountain Ski Trip- We had a 2 night trip to ski. We spent one day at Montage mountain, and one day at Elk Mountain. The trip was Wed-Thurs Jan 12-13th. We stayed over Wed night and played a dice-card game called Unexploded Cows. Wacky. Also, we were joined by day skiers both days from Upper Bucks, Ptarmigan and King of Prussia ski clubs.

February Elk Mountain Ski Trip-
We had a great day skiing at Elk Wed Feb 16, 2022 even though their quad lift was down. All eight of us had a great day with plenty of sunshine, great snow, and fun terrain. We were joined by 2 UBSC members and one NPSC member joined the Upper Bucks Ski Club group at Montage the day before.

Telluride Colorado 2022
NPSC apparently successfully dodged the COVID virus at the EPSC Winter Carnival at Telluride.

This cartoon originally appeared in the Feb 3 Philadelphia Inquirer (with sign showing Olympic Logo).

Thankfully we also dodged casualties except that Lisa Ruff's coat got a 6" hole melted in the nylon by the bus's heater on the way to the airport.

Telluride CO Trip
The Jan 29 Snowstorm in Philly cancelled our flight until Monday Jan 31 so we only got in 4 days of skiing. But the weather and snow cooperated while we were at Telluride and the skiing and scenery were spectacular. Two cold days and two beautiful bluebird skiing days were enjoyed by all. Many members went on a snowmobiling trip on Wednesday. Others visited the Telluride Museum and downtown and learned what the Galloping Goose was about. We all had fun at the Welcome Dinner Monday night, Lunch at Gorrono Ranch on the Mountain Tuesday, and Farewell Dinner on Thursday. Race day was on Tuesday and we had at least one team compete. A few members posted photos from the trip and they are be viewable under Photo Albums
Check it out! Other members are welcome to post their  best 12 or so photos. If you want to see how to post photos by creating a Photo Album see our FAQ

North Penn Ski Teams-
Our NPSC Race  Team took second place overall at Telluride just behind Flying Dutchmen. Dave Schoneker's son, Jake also took the Fastest Male Racer award since his times beat all the racers who competed. He did great.

Summer Picnic 2022-  The 2nd Thursday of August, members met at the Flourtown Picnic area of the Fort Washington State Park for a potluck barbeque. And the food we had was definitely a jackpot, potluck. There was a real variety of food and the weather was perfect. Larry Kirschner brought his cat and walked it on a leash. And Caryl Berlin brought her sweet Schnauzer dog. It was great catching up with everyone during the summer and hearing what everyone was up to in the off ski season.
