Elk Mountain Day Trips

Sadly, we have decided NOT to host our annual one-day adventures to Elk Mountain this winter. Covid restrictions and health concerns make traveling by bus less than desirable, and even more so due to Hagey Coach & Tours’ announcement of closing their business for good in November 2020. North Penn has enjoyed the use of their charter motorcoaches for 18 years, and is so sad to see Hageys close their doors!
However, we are doing our best to keep the one-day adventures going, even during this pandemic. Instead of a bus trip to Elk, we are now doing “drive yourself” one-day club ski days at Blue Mountain. This winter, ski resort Covid restrictions require that you boot-up and picnic lunch in your car, so driving to Blue seemed like the best solution. This is NOT a club-sponsored trip — the club will NOT be providing lift tickets, food or transportation. We are simply encouraging members to join together to ski for a day (socially distanced, of course).
If you plan to attend, please be sure to purchase your lift ticket from Blue Mountain directly via their website — the earlier, the better! Prices go up the closer you get to the day you wish to ski, and some days have been known to sell out as Blue is limiting how many folks are there on any given day. NOTE: if you have a Blue Mountain season pass, you’re good to go! And those folks who are age 70 or more, a lift ticket is free. However, as of December 2020, you MUST make a reservation for the day — so please check Blue Mountain’s website for the latest details, and especially before you head up to the slopes on either January 20 or February 25! www.skibluemt.com
